Here's a photo of my yearly end of summer blooming. This is a species from South America. I bought it as a nbs seedling probably 10 years ago from a collection of an OS member who passed away. He had a tag in the pot dated 1984. I bought it, mounted it on tree fern. It took off and is now a decent size 10 years later. This year it has 2 spikes and 10 flowers. No major fragrance I can detect.

cool. i just noticed what may or may not be the first flower sheath on mine. i got it at my orchid society's auction years ago and finally moved it into brighter light...
