This is a favorite species of mine. I like the color combination on this clone. And the subtle fragrance, which is unlike most other unifoliate Cattleyas in character is great! It has also proven to be quite easy to grow and flower. I actually grow it in a north-facing window with two high-output florescent T5 tubes (54W each) over it. No temperature drop during the night (stays ~20 C).
Cattleya lawrenceana originates from southern Venezuela with possible occurrences also over the borders of Guyana and Brazil.
