Cattleya jenmanii ‘Mem. Dan Brandt’ AM/AOS

Though smaller than my ‘Splendiferous’ cultivar, it has good form (erect dorsal and upturned petals) and crisp color. Awarded almost 10 years ago, it came from the same line as my jenmanii semialba ‘April Fools’ HCC/AOS. NS 13 cm.



Flowering beautifully at DavidB. I will be pollinated this with ‘Splendiferous’ to mix my two lines together.

I agree with this. I grow a few species under lights and by far the easiest to bloom are jenmanii, lueddemanniana, and schroederae. I know a lot depends on the plants themselves but these are the ones I’ve had multiple successes with seedlings.
