This is a first bloom seedling that I got from Piping rock. I bought it about 2 years ago and it only had 5 little bulbs about the size of peas. It has grown pretty fast, it has filled up a six inch pot with bulbs close together. It is in straight sphagnum moss in a slotted pot. Man, it is stinky! I can smell when a flower opens in the morning as I approch my orchid room door before it is even open. Sorry the thrid pic is not in focus, shaky hands I guess.

And the spike will keep sending out flowers for quite awhile. What's not to like?!

...Oh its lucky its pretty if it keeps sending out stinky flower after stinky flower! Lol

The flower is about 32 cm (12 in) in vertical spread and about 8in horozontal NS. Pretty big flower. I took pollen and crossed it onto another bulbo echinolabium. I think it took because the flower faded the next day. The ovary is still green and alive.
