My bulbophylum has finally flowered:sob:
It has got about 6 flowers open now :D
It has unique detail in the petal tips and delicate spotting on the lip :)

Mastigion (Bulb.) putidum is actually the misnomer Mastigion facinator, this is actually Matigion appendiculatum.

This is a cool species (even as appendiculatum) with all the little appendages "diculating" in the breeze:wink:

I don't think it smells that bad either.
 
All the name changes make it quite confusing....:sob:

Not sure if this is really a name "change", but some historic miss identification. Or some ancient name priority history thing.

What does your plant smell like? My B. fascinator (probably more like the concept of putidum) smells like rotting fish. While my appendiculatum (which looks like yours) smells about as bad as moldy hay.

It has more of a spicy smell...:)
