Bifrenaria harrisonia

Here is my Bifrenaria "harrisonia", as it was labelled. I am infuriated...this is the only bloom between my two plants that wasn't eaten by squirrels. I have no idea why squirrels would like Bifrenaria over all other orchids, but they do. You can even see past squirrel scars on the pseudobulbs. Next year, I'm bringing them back indoors when the buds appear. Take care, Eric

Eric, apart from the pic being HUGE, this is not Harrisoniae. Wrong color. Its much more like Bif. tyrianthina.

That's why I put "harrisonia" in quotes. The plant was labeled harrisonia when I bought it more than 20 years ago (at the Nrooklyn Botanic Garden). As for the pic size, Image shack just keeps changing on me. The last few pictures I posted, there was a clear option for setting the best size. Now they are back to what they were doing before...either its huge, or a tiny thumbnail....sorry, but I prefer huge......Take care, Eric
