Architecture and Misc at the New York Botanical Garden

Here are photos of the conservatory, the grounds, and other miscellaneous plants from the New York Botanical Garden. The architecture of the conservatory is amazing and my photos do not do it justice!!! The place is huge!!! These photos were taken on 3/28/07.

The grounds were covered in snow when EOrchids and I went so we didn't wander around outside. I dont know if you noticed but the trees in the room w/ the skywalk had a heavy duty scale problem. Other than that it was wonder full.

EEEKKK!!! I didn't notice the scale. Not paying attention. I was with my sister and she was asking me about the huge tree stump or rock that the stairway went around. She thought it was a rock. I thought it was an old tree stump. So then I touched it and realized that it was of a compound that was man-made and not from nature.

Whatever it was, they did do a good job.

I'm glad that I did not notice the scale.

At least they seem to have sown Ladybug larvae to control the problem.
