Very, very nice! looks a lot like the papilionanthes (=> Vanda biswasiana??) with cylindrical terete leaves!

Dot, it used to be call an Aerides but now, as mentioned..Papilionanthe.

Uri. your plant seems to be an alba variety, one I've not seen before, very interesting. The one here is my plant and the one that is most commonly seen on the benches.

Well, good news and bad. Since the 2 flowers looked so different I did a web search. The bad news is that I don't have Papilionanthe vandarum and Uri does. The good ? news is that according the species sites etc, mine and about 20 others that I know of have Papilionanthe subulata. No wonder the flowers looked so different. My plant, the person I got it from and all the others have been growing this plant under the wrong name for decades and no-one picked it up. Don't think I'll trade it in though.

Both flowers are gorgeous -- reminiscent of Acacallis. Are they related? What's the culture?
