    Paphiopedilum lowii

I saw this lowii at PaphParadise display in Montreal OrchidExpo show and bought it right away. Does anyone know why I did? Any suggestions for a cultivar name?

    Lowii with ID issues ??

So I got this huge plant as a lowii. It isn’t for sure. Disappointing indeed. Anyone have any idea? Maybe Julius? Tall 55 cm spike with 3 flowers.

    Paphiopedilum lowii ‘Carlisle’ HCC/AOS

I’m happy to report that Carlisle got a 78 point HCC from AOS judging today. It was a tough run as there are a ton of FCC’s out there to compete with. Here she’s is, beaming with pride! And thanks to JMarcotte for this division. Might be the only one left. NS 15.5 cm.

    Paphiopedilum lowii ‘Charlie’

Another nice dark flower from JMarcotte. Four flowers and buds in total, though sadly a fifth tiny bud turned yellow. I’ll post again when all flowers open.

    The Other Lowii

Next to Mango is this type lowii. I didn’t see the spike until quite late lol. Pretty nice and dark. Unfortunately the other 3-4 buds blasted as they got too close to lights. Plant is huge and needs lots of water. Seems dehydrated.

    Paph. lowii fm aureum ‘Mango’

Imagine my excitement when I saw a bud peeking out of this first bloom plant! It is my favourite album multifloral ever since I saw it in the book ‘Paphiopedilums of Borneo’. It started with four cute deep yellow buds that reminded me of mangos lol and so it was named as such. Here’s the...
