When I bring in all the plants from outside Into the greenhouse or into the house. I have always treated with Orthene. I am still seeing some mealy bugs after two treatments. Sam Tsui told me Safari was the best and I have never alternated Orthene and Safari…mostly because of the huge price...

These are a large flower…3 flowers with another opening. I have seen pics of Julius with petals held straight out and also drooping, not sure which is preferred.

Apparently there are some “Trade Secrets” I haven’t figured out yet? I made a special effort to keep the plants orientation to the sun the same. Last two flowers facing 180 degrees the other direction. Direction of sun never changed.

The last time I posted this plant, I said everyone needs one of these. It was a first bloom single growth plant that loves life! Now it’s multiple growths and 3 flowers, would be 4 but I pinched 1 to see how much bigger the bloom would get… I should have posted a month ago as it’s been in bloom...

This was caused by a Stinkbug. Last summer we had a Stinkbug population explosion, but they didn’t harm any of the orchids. This Stinkbug was smaller and I assume a different specie than last years pest. He got squashed before I thought to take a pic.

Looking for hangianum pollen for this girl!
