I got this plant about 3 years ago though ebay when I was an amature Vanda grower, not knowing the sanderiana requirement. Since then, it just grew. As I changed the light bulbs in my growing area October last year, I moved it to right under the light and I modified the watering/fertilizing schedule. I think this made it decide to initiate the spike.
Since 7 flowers out of 8 are open, I took the plant to a local judging. After an intense discussion, it was not even close for an award, I guess.
According to the judges, the presentation of the 8 flowers are not even and 7th and 8th flowers are not as big as the older flowers. DUH!
But one of the judges found the name for me.
