not another "guess the primary", I tell you straight away this is Duane Erdmann, bellatulum x urbanianum.

It caught my eye on Franz Glanz' sales table at the Novembre judging session of our society. At first glance I found it unusual, then I liked it and then I found it had no colour breaks or deformities, just a weird shape. And when I read the label I thought I'd better take it since I am unlikely to come across another one in my lifetime.
First flower just fell off, the second opened a couple of weeks ago.

Best wishes, Carsten

Very interesting flower. I would have guessed that there is some cochlo in the background given the staminoid and the pouch.

I like it a lot. Not such an unusual shape -- fairrieanum hybrids often are similar in shape. But the coloring is really nice!

Thanks all. As I said the flower is quite appealing, hard to look away. I also like the pattern, the colour IS great and the shape is unusual but interesting in an elegant way.
I'll try hard to gow it well.

Cheers, Carsten
