Hello Slippertalk!
I have been having a minor issue with my Paphiopedilum Fanaticum with flowers only lasting for three weeks. I got this plant from Piping Rock in April 2019, bloomed July 2019 (photo 1) and then the next growth just finished blooming in June 2021 (photo 2). I thought the first flower not lasting might have been since it was new but now the plant is stronger and still this issue? I was thinking of maybe being too warm at around 20-26C at this time of year? Is this normal for this grex? I've had other Paphs last for 2-3 months. Also for this flowering I noticed the ovary was bent (photo 3) but didn't seem to be broken. The plant is quite healthy, I just repotted (photo 4), lots of roots and 4 new growths! I love the flower and I hope it can gain longevity.
Thanks in advance!
