Hi!

This Stanhopea is blooming for the second time for me. I purchased it many years ago as a tiny seedling from Orchideas Rio Verde at the Pacific Orchid Exposition in San Francisco. It's labeled as Stanhopea tigrina violacea. Any ideas as to what it really might be? It does have a nice, sweet aroma.

These pictures were taken with my iPhone 6. I didn't adjust the color. Getting these pictures was rather tricky as the plant is in a low-light portion of the greenhouse.
 
I figured it out. One of the color settings was off when I took the photos. Here's a better one:

Structurally it looks like tigrina or tigrina var. nigroviolacea. And there are some semi albas floating around too.
 
Another very pale tigrina was just posted! Looks like a very light semialba to me...the spots are visible but just barely. Looks like a beautiful unusual tigrina that's definitely worth keeping!
