I've only had this one about eight months. I got it as a very small division from a friend from a nearby orchid society. He got the mother plant awarded at our show in Knoxville in 2003, when it was covered in blooms. He grows his in a basket and I was going to put mine in a basket but went S/H instead.
It is a primary hybrid of S. coccinea and brevipedunculata and is a very compact.
