Some locals 10

I could use the same sentence as last year: 'It is the time again where the nearby place called 'Aarnescht' is in bloom, a hill covered with different local orchids. Here some pics I shot this morning:'! Almost everything is identical, except that this year I was too early or the locals are somewhat late !

So this is to be a first serie, and a next is to come:

Tom, I refer mainly to the comment of Thanasis in my last year's thread (confirmed by the book about Orchids in Lux.) :

There are Orchis purpurea, Orchis militaris, and the hybrids of the 2! The bee is Ophrys holosericea and the fly is Ophrys insectifera!!

I did one more fine walk to the Aarnescht yesterday (+/- 12 km) and found some more nice blooms!

I met quite some Ophrys apifera (and hybrids?) in bloom:

Thanks for the update Jean. I love the Anacamptis - yet another I'd like to try. The Platenthera is lovely too in its understated way. Nothing like a field trip to see orchids in the wild!
