Sobralia macrantha compact??

I bought this plant 5 years ago with the above mentioned name on its tag, but the vendor was not sure. It has the same fluffy flowers as my other macrantha, of course other color, and somewhat more long-lived (5 days - 3). The plant is also more compact as the 'normal' form: +/- 70 cm - +/- 170 cm. Generally, a large percentage of Sobralia in cultivation are not properly identified. It is unlikely that your plant is macrantha. Very unlikely. Contact Nina Rach at [email protected] send her images or a link to these images. She may be able to help. Powellii is a possibility, but I don't know for sure.
