This is a beautiful and informative article by Dave Sorokowsky (Paph Paradise) presented at the Nov. 2022 Slipper Orchid Symposium. Hadley’s crosses are legendary and beautifully documented here. I was fortunate to visit Hadley about a year after he announced his retirement and picked up seedlings of 4 of the beauties pictured in the article. The two that have bloomed so far show promise. If you can, it would be worth the effort to get this article.

We just hope that Marriott Orchids will not join Stewart Orchids or the Orchid Zone, where a handful of hobbyists and a couple professionnals still have 0.00001% of the motherplants of the two last ones, the remaining being dead...
