Inherited to grow on from the little greenhouse last week in bud. I wanted to share and record this plant in bloom before I move ahead with repotting. Might be a few years before I see it again.

Registered in 2002. The parents are Rhyncholaeliocattleya Sunset Gorge × Cattleya Tango.

This is a very large flower with a NS of nearly 7.5 inches. Might have expanded a bit since yesterday.

The first two pictures are natural light. The third picture is what it looks like under led, it really lights up. The form is not the best but the size and presence is attractive.

Amazing combination striata/venosa petal patterns and a solid lip. Almost like a rosita was responsible in the background.

This is what I was thinking. Dowiana is 24% would be neat to try and cross this with some of the new white cattleyas seedlings I have starting to mature.. maybe improve the form.
