A seedling bought as MDC x Jason Fischer from Elsner orchids last winter and flowering for the first time.
Looks far too pink for this cross.
I was expecting something much more red.
Anyone care to comment?

Definitely mis-identified. Too much schlimii influence.

Agreed. It looks suspicious. I would have expected it to be much more red, and the flower shape isn't quite what I would have expected for the cross. Can you contact the breeder/vendor and see if they have any ideas?

Eric, completely agree. Schlimii is in there somewhere. The colour looks like some of the grouville clones.
Have sent a message to Regina Elsner to ask about the plant.
I was told at the time that the plant was sourced from the USA,

Well, I see the schlimii influence, but I think it a lovely
bloom anyway.

I also see longifolium or Eric Young in the background of this hyrbid..
