P. urbanianum is a gem of a species - and that staminodal shield is always a marvel to behold!
(just for your information: the species name always begins with a lower case letter, the genus name with a capital letter, thus in this instance: Paphiopedilum urbanianum.
If the second epithet starts with a capital letter, we are in the realm of hybrids, as f.ex. is the case with Paphiopedilum Maudiae ( the cross of P. callosum x P. lawrenceanum).
Naturally occuring (i.e. not man-made) hybrids are designated like this one Paphiopedilum x lushuiense (P. vilosum
x P. spicerianum.)
