I acquired this from Val Tonkin when she was closing down their nursery.

So with that said, how old would say this plant is?

When I bought it, it was in pretty rough shape; but it had a handful of labels in the pot. Was obviously something good. Forget exactly when everybody closed down at the Livermore location, but plant predated that. I used to have pieces of both parents of this plant in the mid 1980's, so it could be that old or older. I just don't know for sure.

Most of the Tonkin's sukhakulii selections had nice horizontal petals. I think Val had the most horizontal.

Thanks for the nice feedback folks.

That's a very beautiful sukhakulii. Awesome petals on this one. I love this species.

really cool. love this species. someday i want to find a top-shelf Macabre., but for now i just pretend that my sukhakuli flower is bigger :)

Interesting clone. You don't often see many around with so much white in the pouch anymore. I guess that was bred and selected out in the early days. (A pity in a way, I think the pouch is very striking)
