Paph. Memoria Clifford Walters is a hybrid of Paph. philippinense var. roebelinii x Paph. Macabre. Each flower is five inches from top to bottom and there is a third bud maturing.
The flowers have a very impressive presence; seeing the size in person would be even more so! I love the spotting on the petals contrasting with the striped dorsal.
Ding ding ding... We have a winner! Macabre can be unpredictable in the genetic lottery, but there is no doubt it can hit the jackpot. There's a new entry in my top 10 Paphs list.
A winner for sure! Superb colouring and balance. I like the way the dots on the petals are arranged in lines, almost like they are queuing up to go somewhere. A great result, congratulations!
