Paph. Barbilight (Barbi Playmate x Nulight 'Hampshire' HCC/AOC)

First bloom seedling. Small plant for a complex. Bloom isn't bad for a first bloom, but didn't open much.

Anybody have any insight on getting these complexes to open more? Keep brighter? Keep wetter?

N.S. 7.8cm, 7.2cm tall. 10" leafspan, in a 3" pot

I also have the same problem with complex paphs...either they stay cuppy and never fully open, or they spread wide open and the dorsal recurves at the base....Take care, Eric

How long has the flower been open?

It's been open not quite a week. No signs of opening further.

Maybe I should post this as a thread over in the culture forum.

Give it another blooming on a bigger plant, that should help. But many will never open fully.
