Paph Aureum

Registered in 1894, Paph Aureum is a cross between Nitens (insigne x villosum) and spicerianum. It has 5,675 progeny spread over 11 generations, including many of the great green complex Paphs. I can't be certain if this plant is from the original cross or is a remake.

Probably not. I occasionally use older crosses for various reasons, but have yet to find a use for this particular plant. I just enjoy collecting "antique" Paphs.
