Always a favorite of mine as well.
I'm wondering what you mean about not a good breeder? the outcome of crosses? I have a hybrid book that lists 28 registered crosses & that was only up to 1990.

I think the thing with Orchilla is that it does not produce many seedlings, and many offspring that it does produce have faults like color break and cupping. But the good offspring are very good.

And 28 crosses from a flower this good is nothing, suggesting poor fertility.
