Didn't make me sad actually. I thought many of those places were beautiful, especially those reclaimed by nature. Thanks for sharing. :)

There is Boyce Thompson State Park in Arizona. The name lives on.
 
I think the big victorian greenhouse at the end should be just the right size for Slipperfan and her magnificent collection. :rollhappy:

It saw that program. It was an amazing program.
 
Some of those were luxurious in their day. They remind me of old houses I see here dotting the landscape - overgrown with vines, bamboo growing up through the tatami, epiphytic ferns festooning the eves… it makes me sad when they rip them down and put up yet another 7-11.
