No pouch??

Phrag Ainsworthii ( Sedeni x longifolium roezlei ) This has flowered many times before but this is the first I have had with no pouch!! Any ideas???

Don't know why but this phrag ( Ainsworthii Sedeni x longifolium v. roezlei )
has flowered perfectly many times before but this time --without a pouch. Anyone know how this can happen??

I've had them do that occasionally... the next bloom is always ok. something happens when the flower is forming...birth defect.:wink:

I agree with Gilda. However, I had a Paph that did that every time it bloomed. It's now compost.

Well, at least the next flower will impress.

Perhaps you should self it and register it under a new name.
