This one I bought this year from the London orchid Show
as a multigrowth plant. It is sending up a second spike that looks more robust than the first. I slightly prefer this to my Olaf Gruss even though it has more subtle colours.

Thanks all,
it seems we have an expired difference between pearcei
and equadorense ... I haven't clue (just what the label said) ?? ... anyone know what the difference was before it expired, ... or at least what the extremes of the variation were ?

We've had this debate before, and didn't get anywhere with it. It really depends on who's your favorite taxonomist. I don't believe anyone could tell by looking at a photo of the flower since the differences are based on flower and plant size.
