Mexipedium xerophtyicum 'Penn's Creek'?

i was checking out Silva Orchids' Shore Fest poster and when wandering around Woodstream Orchids' site, i saw this cultivar. i thought there were only the two known cultivars ('Windy Hill' and 'Oaxaca'). does anyone know anything about this?

If you get hold of a plant that has not already been given a cultivar name, you may name it as you wish.

right. i thought only two plants were ever collected and that no one knows how to grow from seed to mature plants.

I think I've heard of some seed grown. I thought Marylin had same crosses of the two primary clone imports you are referring too, but I haven't heard about any other imports coming in on for this species either.

We've raised them from seed, so I'm sure others can also.

i had heard stories that although they would germinate, all the seedlings would die...but now that i've looked a little, see that was about crosses with Phrags or Paphs or Cyps
i think i was just wrong. found a recent (last week) discussion of a Mexi with a tag suggesting it is a seedling cross.
