I noticed a few interesting things, to make the first Phrag. Cardinale they used Phrag. schlimii albiflorum, I wonder if that was the album form of Phrag. schlimii.
Also love the Cyp. James H. Veitch (stonei var platytaenium x curtisii). I wonder if any of these old clones are still around? I know we have some Paph. Morganiae 'Bufordense' that were supposedly made with stonei var platytaenium, although here I see they named it Morganiae var Langleyense; I wonder if 'Bufordense' is actually var Langleyense...
One last thing I noticed that when Phrag. Grande was originally made, they did use Phrag. hartwegii, so Olaf Gruss is correct that Phrag. Grande = hartwegii x caudatum (If you consider hartwegii to be a separate species than longifolium).
