Picked up in April 2023 with only the tiniest green nub peeking out of the soil. It grew into a monster and I’m looking forward to it going dormant so I can harvest the corms. They look like hot dog potatoes about the size of your hand. Very excited to see this one bloom, it has been on the list for some time.

Well done!

This is my favorite habenaria. The tubers can get pretty sizeable. Get ready for a larger pot.
Do you ever have issues with mites on your Habenaria? I have 3 different plants and each summer without fail they get these patches that look like black rot on portions of the leaves.. a few treatments and they return to normal growth. Each summer I think I can get away without having to treat.. has not been the case yet

Up here in SE Michigan, we go to Windswept In Time Orchids based in Ohio.

Several of his plants make it to our shows and judging tables. They get several awards themselves as do their customers.
