I bought this one as Eria densa but I don't believe it is.

This might be a relative; something else to research. Dichaea glauca, flower is similar, growth habit, too.

contact Dr Eric Christiansen, he has done some work on Coelogyne, Dendrochilum & Eria taxonomy, they are all related. Email him the photos, he may be able to get you closer to an ID. If you don't have it, PM me I give you his email address.

I believe the genus Dichea is related to the reed stem epidendrums, it is a new world genus. Instead of a cluster at the end of a pseudobulb, they have single flowers from every leaf node. So it is a member of the greater Cattleya Alliance.

Eria, Coelogyne, Dendrochilum are all closely related, and all are Old World orchids. I believe they are distant allies to the Cymbidium Alliance.
