Discovered in Ibaraki Prefecture in Japan in 1957 and was registered in 1969. Large-sized orange flower with daffodil-shaped flower petals, with a creamy lip that has thick red dots. Average-sized leaves that are semi-standing to half-drooping. The leaves are dark green with average thickness that have a very neat growth habit. Last year, it produced 2 flowers only, this year, it produced 5 flowers. Grown and flowered in Toronto, Canada.

NYEric: Japanese Varieties are know for the flower colours not for their fragrance. If you want the fragrance, it is better to purchase the Chinese C. goeringii varieites. Japanese varieties, the fragrance is poor to lightly fragrant (at best).
