I believe this is the division of 'Super'. I'll have to check the tag as I haven't put it in inventory yet. The RHS cross is Susan Fuchs x denticulatum. I like it much better than the 'SVO' clone.

One of the benefits of orchids is some of them are scented. Imagine if your whole collection was!!!

awesome!!! If loving catasetums is wrong, I don't wanna be right. Despite distributing metaldehyde granules, I have lost so many catasetum spikes to slugs this year it makes me sick. They must be the biggest delicacy on the slug menu!

When do the spikes usually start? I thought it wasn't until later.

NOOO! It makes me sick just reading this! Are they hanging/in hanging baskets?

I have one in spike now, pileatum imperale 'SVO Red Blood' x Brent's Black Hawk, which I thought was rather unusual. I broke a spike this winter, the plant didn't go dormant and is spiking now. Go figure!

Our spring came so late that many of mine should be spiking now. I'm not sure if this one has a scent. I'll check tonight.
