Coelogyne aff. Burfordiense

When I received this is was labeled Coel pandurata but the growths are too close together for this species and I suspect it is Burfordiense Which is Coel. pandurata x Coel. aristata The first couple of flowers opened last night.

I think you are right. Here's a photo of Bill Porter's plant labeled Coel_xburfordiensis-flower. Color is a little off -- should be more like yours.

Coelogyne pandurata has no spotting on its dark lip- plants of pandurata is a bit less vigourous and their size is smaller compared to the hybrid. Btw the last issue of OD covers Coelogyne -- an excellent issue
