Leslie, this is what I have in my source about purpurata color forms. Correct?

Anelata has a white lip with a narrow ring of color near the edge. The lip can have any color.

So many purpurata varieties to enjoy. Sometimes they arrange themselves well to create a good display, but often as the flower count per inflorescence increases, the flower segments may interfere with others. This can be a work in progress as all the flowers open, but is important if one wants to get a good photograph opportunity of a prized clone. Getting this right comes with experience after many failed tries.
