I think this is an especially good blooming so far for this year. Five blooms close to open at once, with a couple more spikes right behind. The blooms only hold up for about a week, but with this kind of momentum I expect to get a lot more spiking over the next month.



This flower is extra big at 9.5 cm long


This flower is already going out, but they turn "Fall colors" and are pretty even as they die.

you are right, even when the flower is on its way out it is still beautiful :)
 
I like it very much, Rick. It is much nicer than burfordiense, which it resembles.
