I'm not sure if it's proper classification is Bulbo. or Cirr. but we can be pretty sure it will remain tingabarinum (aka pectenveneris)! Grandma M picked this up for me last summer/fall at Porter's. It has 4 spikes, I might get 2 opening at the same time.
A cutie for sure. I almost kept one for myself, but decided I really shouldn't get into Bulbos. I think Bill Porter may still have one or two left -- they are all divisions of his awarded plant.
Thanks Marilynn for picking it up for me - I love it, it's darling! I like the closeups, as you get details you might not see with the naked eye, at least my naked eye! It does have an unusual fragrance, my husband nor I could come up with a description. It's not pleasant, not terribly offensive either & you have to stick your nose up close (watch out for those little tongues!) in order to detect it. I like the side shot, looks like eye lashes above those tongues!
