This is fairrieanum x Hsinying Glory.
I bought many of these fairrieanum x vini maudiae hybrid over the years.
The results are quite uniform with classic fair-maude flower shape and color being very dark or coloratum.
This particular one was rather different and I really liked it, so I kept this one and tossed all others.
This particular plant was very very slow growing and it is blooming for the second time in two years! There is no new fan yet, either.
and this is what I get!

This also happens to be a rather large plant. It was one of the two largest of this kind I had. The spike is 2 feet tall.

This is what it looked like two years ago.

I like the first blooming better. Was the spike that long the first time? If not, can you account for the difference? Did you change any of the growing conditions?

The spike was super long like this the first time.
I had two that had such long spikes. I kinda like this presentation.
The thing is the plant itself is also very big.

It's more of a big disappointment because I had this image of the first bloom that I liked very much, and had to wait for two years.
Now it's in bloom again, but the dorsal shape is not too pretty to me.

I'll give it a third chance, but it has not even a new fan yet. So I'm afraid it might take a long time until the next blooming.
