This is a recently established offshoot of Alibaba, which sells items in small quantities to individuals rather than to bulk sales to companies. Doing a search on LED lights brought hundreds of thousands of items, many of which are very appropriate to our applications. Shipping is often free, and minimum quantity is one item.
Personally, I will be looking for individual diodes, but those who don't want to do their own soldering have lots of fixtures to choose from, often at 1/5th of the price from North American suppliers. Just thought I'd share.
