Here are some of venustums in bloom. These types have the bronze metallic red pouches, likely from Tibet or Nepal regions. The tall middle one is ‘Bloodbath’. NS 11 cm.

Just bought seven colorful venustums from Taiwan at the Toronto show… good potential for future:

After years of searching for the perfect red petals WITH red pouch venustum, I finally found one in Taiwan (thanks to Dennis)! Such intense coloration and good form, this flower will be used as my base to breed with ‘Bloodbath’ to continue this red line.

Just opened. My favourite venustum! Featured in my article in AOS Orchids magazine this April issue. She’s a star lol. Dark red pouch and petals.

Blooming a little out of season … along with Vinnie the Venustum in toll too (just almost opening) … Very pinkish-red petals and a veined green ‘brain’. NS 9 cm Petals 4.8 x 2 cm First pic indoors, the rest outdoors.
