The year of the Roth, fingers crossed!

Makes me giggle just looking at this small forest of roths:D
  5. R

    Paphiopedilum sukhakulii

As far as I can tell this species is almost extinct in the wild, so I think its pretty special to see it in cultivation no matter how frequently. One of my favorites:clap:

    Yet another del

    That's a well grown plant. Very nice:clap:

    Paph richardianum

It's in the SE corner of the GH that is probably the brighter part of the GH where I keep most of my vandas and roths., but it is on the bench under hanging stuff. I would say the light is pretty middle of the road to high where this plant is.

    Another sanderianum

I'm enjoying quite a bit:clap::clap: what is the leaf span of this plant?
  9. R

    Paphiopedilum malipoense

I love your in situ pictures:clap: Those piles of fractured moss/lichen covered limestone rock look just like what I can find in the woods across the street from my place. However we are presently experiencing night lows below 0 Celcius (25 F) that would probably be tough on these Paphs.

    Paph micranthum v. eburneum

Any new growths starting up yet?
  11. R

    Paphiopedilum vietnamense 2017

I also really like the pouch coloring. Very spotty:clap:

    Paph. rothschildianum 'King of Carlisle'

    Nice one John:clap:

    Paph richardianum

You can find texts that place it as both a variety of lowii and distinct species. However even if you put a richardianum next to the huge variation of lowii, it's more distinct from a structural standpoint than comparing say hirsuitisimum and esquirolii. This flower has a span of under 9cm...

Phrag. besseae fma flavum 'Green Gold'

    good form too
  16. R

    Bulbophyllum arfakianum

I'm just a species guy so I generally don't pay attention to bulbo hybrids. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has made some hybrids with these species since they've been around for quite some time.
  17. R

    Den. canaliculatum

This is a very cool Dendro species Dot:clap::clap: I may have to think about getting this one too.
  18. R

    Paph druryi seedling

Way too little to speculate whether or not you have the real deal. Bending vs upright straight leaves in druryii has as much to do with how you grow it rather than a characteristic of the plant, and the smaller the plant the more influential growing culture matters.
  19. R

    Paph. esquirolei.

    Really pretty flowers Phraggy:clap::clap:
  20. R

    Besseae Havin X Smokin 2017

Even bigger and still flat. The second bud is about to open so maybe will get to see two blooms open at once.
