How's the weather?

It's beautiful in Saskatoon! I don't think I could deal with the winters in Canada either! The arctic blasts that hit Wisconsin are bad enough! Thank goodness we're back to our 45F and soggy late fall, and grateful we didn't get buried in snow like they did in New York!! :rollhappy:

    How's the weather?

Ugghhh, snow on the ground here too, but the plus side (if there is one) is that we only had about 2" or so, and the wind hasn't done any damage! Phew!! :D

    Paph spicerianum

That is true....I'm less tempted right now because it gets cold here at night now....though I have seen sites advertising the use of heat packs for shipping, but I don't know how good they are....yet!

    Paph spicerianum

I am addicted already! I really wish there was an Orchid greenhouse near me, but on the other hand, I think I'd be broke if there was!! :D

    Paph spicerianum

I'll try making it more sturdy with some media. I don't want to cause trauma to any roots since I'm still green and afraid I'll mess things up. My anniversary is tomorrow....I think a new orchid is just the right gift! Thanks everybody!! Paph spicerianum by SlipperNewbie, on...

    Paph spicerianum

A few pics from today 10/18/14. Being that it's my 1st slipper, wondering if the Paph spicerianum opens a little straighter or does the bloom keep some curve to it? How long do blooms generally last? Thanks! Paph spicerianum (2) by SlipperNewbie, on Flickr[/IMG] Paph...

    Lovely blooms!

    Paph spicerianum

I count 4 previous spikes. How many years before you get multiple growths? One more question (for now).... I've been reading about the care (and quality to look for when buying) of Paphs. I came across the fact that you don't want the orchid to be wobbly or loose. Mine is, and I suspect it...
