That’s interesting Cklinger. i didn’t really give them a winter rest for water, usually once or twice a week. Doesn’t seem to effect the pseudobulbs, just the leaves as they mature.
I first noticed this last year on the monnierara and now this year on my FDK new growth. Seems to come back regardless of fungicide/pesticide, transplanting, wiping down the backs of the leaves. I can’t see any mites or organisms on the plant, just this damage spread evenly over all the leaves...

Parishii seed pod from last years bloom that I still have. Wondering if any experienced germinators want this guy? I can confirm its a selfing of the above...
A few other thoughts
One change I'm thinking of making to the system is to vent the light separately from the greenhouse.
In its current form the heat from the light warms the greenhouse and every 10 minutes or so the cooling system has to fire up to remove that heat. When the ice box pump...

Update time
Been a while since I had a few minutes to update. Will try to answer a few questions and go over some problems i've had along the way.
First and foremost, DO NOT use tap water with a fogger in a closed system!! Learned this one the hard way after I noticed my big can fan wasn't...
The Parishii was the only slipper in bloom so I'm sure it's a selfing.
Looks like that seed pod needs to sit on there for a number of months so I have some time to decide if I want to play around with trying to propagate them. Thanks John for the info!
Not sure if I have much to offer for...
Bess from John M
One of the 15 blooms on my Parishii looks like it pollinated with no help from me! Posting this cause I'm actually not too sure what to do with it? ie. how long to leave it on there. I have fair amount of cell culture experience and lab access so I could probably go...
Quick update
Terrarium filling up! Order from Orchidweb cam a few weeks ago. In response to a couple questions, I haven't tried any automated feeding, so far only by hand and going to keep it that way unless I absolutely can't find someone to drop by and water for me. I haven't tried the...
I actually haven't, I was under the impression that pure water didn't work as its the minerals in tap water that allow the fogger to do its thing . . .
edit - apparently this is wrong. RO and distilled water work fine. From the mist maker instructions apparently the water level sensor only...
