Nice pics! This species really does look (in my opinion) like a bug. Since they are pollinated by psuedocopulation, I have always thought that some of the other species that are bigger and more colorful, must grow in habitats with some pretty spectacular looking bugs! (or, I suppose indiscriminate bugs!:))

Today on another place I found again around 30 plants
of Ophrys insectifera

The plants grow together with Orchis ustulata, Gymnadenia and Platanthera (see another thread).

Robert, your Tolumnia surely has an influence of Ophrys in general!!!!! Like Cephalanthera resemble Cymbidiums!!! World of orchids is so surprising and strange!!! Isn't this one of the reasons why they amaze us...:)?
