Have been waiting for this little beauty for a while. It tried to bloom last winter but half the plant, including the spike, rotted off when I tried lowering the night temps to 50F. Did some research and turns out they have to be dry if they're that cold. It recovered this year with a couple new growths and this spike which finally gave me the flower I'd been waiting for. The flower is 2.25" (5.7cm) across on a plant with leaves twice that long, mounted on cork with sphagnum and misted/watered daily. It just opened today, so it may flatten a bit more.
