It finally opened... with a little help. The petals just hung there in a loop for several days. I was naughty and took a tooth pick and let them hang free. I wasn't sure they would come free without a little nudge. It didn't take much to free them. I did that this morning and you can see how long a loop was in there. I felt like I was helping it to give birth.

I'm not sure if the petals will still grow longer. I will watch it and report if it does.
