It's spring in the Bay Area. I just thought I'd share some wildflowers with the folks who've still got snow on the ground. Unfortunately I didn't get around to photographing the Dodecatheon near me this year...

Blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium bellum)


California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica)


Nightshade (Solanum sp.)


Hopefully soon I'll get up to Marin county for the irises/lupines/monkeyflowers.

You're ahead of us but we got sale plants in at the garden yesterday (first of the season) and the Sanguinia canadensis is blooming, Mertensia virginica coming along and Trilliums are in bud. YAY!!! It was also almost 70° yesterday. YIPPEE!
