This Phrag Cardinale 'Killworth' x Barbara LeAnn is one of JP. Faust's hybrids. I think that it's lovely although it is more twisted than I expected. :)

That's one sweet flower! The dorsal's pattern in very interesting. If it were mine, I'd hope it keeps those lines with every flowering.

Nice color, even if twisty. Yay besseae x schlimii hybrids! Is it fragrant?

I think it is slightly fragrant. Thanks for making me check!

But it is hard to tell because I tried a garlic spray yesterday to get the mealies (who appear to be now resistant to Merit and pyrethrins, But only maybe resistant to pyrethrins because its a contact pesticide) . So I smell lots of overwhelming garlic. Arrg...it smells like s%#& it my house and I didn't expect garlic to burn phrag blooms. But the vampires stayed away! And I think I slept well, I think it has some effects! This one was unharmed though, and mealies seem to stay away from phrags :).

Its phrag season in the house:clap: Five phrags in bloom and three more in spike/bud. So more photos to come
